The foundation
Philosophy.
I'm David Kim. I graduated from UNSW in 2026 with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Media, Screen and Sound Production. For several years I've worked as a freelance video editor, working with creators whose audiences reach into the millions.
My editing work spans across creator content, commercial marketing, and creative projects, and I treat every brief the same way, understand the argument first, then translate. Occasionally I'm behind the camera too, having my own professional equipment to employ when necessary.
Right now I'm completing Practical Legal Training, working toward admission as a solicitor. Here, I aspire to grow as an individual, as a legal practitioner, and as a creative entrepreneur. I firmly believe a film and a legal brief both succeed or fail on the same basis, on structure, evidence, and what you choose to leave out or keep in.
